On a failure, the target takes 4 (1d8) bludgeoning damage and is Grappled. The bugbear can then drag the target up to half its speed. Until this grapple ends, the bugbear automatically hits with its Strangle attack and the target can't breathe. If the target attempts to cast a spell with a verbal component, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or the spell fails.

Bonus Actions

Shadow Walk. The bugbear teleports from one source of shadows to another that it can see within 60 feet.

Reactions

Harassing Retreat (Recharge 5-6). When a hostile creature ends movement within 5 feet of the bugbear, it may move up to half its movement. As part of this reaction, it may make an attack against the triggering creature.
